Jessica Bell with my Wine School has some tips for choosing wedding wine. It is technically illegal to bring wine into any public space with a liquor license. As a result, most weddings must choose their wine from a "list" which is usually marked up 1.5-3x retail, which can be one of the largest sources of costs for weddings. Reduce the cost by doing a "backyard" wedding (tent) or other Public space without a liquor license that you can close to the public and buy your own wine. This can cut your alcohol bill by a third. There are plenty of $10-15 wines which are party pleasers and your guests will never know the difference. Check out www.MyWineSchool.com for more information. |
