Tips for Choosing Wedding Wine
Wednesday, Jan 2, 2013

Jessica Bell with my Wine School has some tips for choosing wedding wine.  It is technically illegal to bring wine into any public space with a liquor license.  As a result, most weddings must choose their wine from a "list" which is usually marked up 1.5-3x retail, which can be one of the largest sources of costs for weddings.  Reduce the cost by doing a "backyard" wedding (tent) or other Public space without a liquor license that you can close to the public and buy your own wine.  This can cut your alcohol bill by a third.  There are plenty of $10-15 wines which are party pleasers and your guests will never know the difference.
