Known in the industry as a "bedroom musician," Jacob taught himself how to play guitar when he was a freshman in college at age 18. Songwriting came shortly after and Jacob considers himself a storyteller. "Lyrics are more important to my career than most I think. I would argue people need to understand the words of what I'm saying in order to fully enjoy my music." He likens his style to that of Jason Mraz.
You may recognize Jacob from his appearance on the third season of "Sing-Off" last fall. The fourth eldest of 11 kids, the family makes up an a cappella group called "FanninEleven." After the NBC appearance, Jacob returned to the studio to create his second album entitled "Lemonade." The album is on iTunes and dropped wide on September 19th.
