Tosa's summer event is called Chili'n on the Avenue, a street party and chili cook-off. This year's event is on Saturday, July 21. Co-hosted by the non-profit East Tosa Alliance of Wauwatosa and Chili Appreciation Society of American International. The event is Southeast Wisconsin's only nationally sanctioned chili cook-off and only one of two in the state. 
Chili'n on the Avenue takes place in the 6800 through 7100 blocks of W. North Ave., Wauwatosa. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m, and admission is free. Attendees can watch chefs prepare their chili; hear music from Paul Cebar, Saturday Night Preachers and John Stano; sample food from local restaurants; enjoy children's activities, and shop in the marketplace. Money raised at Chili'n on the Avenue will be used for current and future development of East North Avenue neighborhood in Wauwatosa.
