Festival City Symphony’s upcoming Symphony Sundays concert on Sunday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pabst Theater, 144 E. Wells Street. This concert will feature a guest artist, Frank Almond, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's concertmaster and renowned Milwaukee musician. Festival City Symphony’s Symphony Sundays concerts are informal events that welcome newcomers and established symphony enthusiasts alike. The historic Pabst Theater offers relaxed, yet elegant surroundings for these afternoons at the symphony. Concertgoers are entertained by musical masterpieces of renowned composers presented by the professional musicians of Festival City Symphony. Conductor Monte Perkins offers descriptive program information from the stage. Children’s Program Notes, a pre-concert group activity and orientation, presented by Music Educator Jayne Perkins, introduces the music they are about to hear to increase their understanding and enjoyment. At the April 17 concert, Frank Almond, who is lauded by critics for his musicianship and artistry, will join Festival City Symphony in performing Max Bruch’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in G Minor.
