Blood donations through the local American Red Cross Blood Services Region have been declining this summer and supplies are currently less than sufficient. All blood types are needed to ensure blood supplies do not drop to emergency levels. Approximately every two seconds a patient in the Unites States needs a blood transfusion. Eligible blood and platelet donors of all blood types are asked to make an appointment to donate as soon as possible to help ensure blood supplies do not drop to emergency levels. Please call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (448-3543) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment to donate or for more information. Upcoming Blood Donation Opportunities Waukesha Blood Donation Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 21 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at 2220 Silvernail Rd., Pewaukee. |
