BadgerCare Plus is Governor Doyle’s program that provides access to quality, affordable health insurance for working families. BadgerCare Plus offers health coverage to every uninsured child in Wisconsin by streamlining Medicaid, BadgerCare and Healthy Start into one comprehensive program. Regardless of a family’s income, BadgerCare Plus allows every uninsured Wisconsin family access to affordable, comprehensive health care coverage for their kids. Low income families will be able to enroll their children into BadgerCare Plus at no charge, while higher earning families will be able to buy into the program at a reasonable cost based upon income.
